The Local Planning Authority will usually require a Drainage Strategy to demonstrate how the surface and foul water flows from the development can be managed – this can either accompany the Flood Risk Assessment or be standalone if a FRA is not required. Advance can offer the following services:-
- Drainage strategies for planning giving consideration to the most appropriate and cost effective methods of SuDS, including SuDS Management and Maintenance Plans and consideration of Flood Exceedance routing.
- Drainage Design – Section 98, 104, 106 and 185 agreements
- Private drainage
- Pump Station Designs
In liaison with the design team we will advise on suitable Sustainable Drainage (SuDs) measures. These will be assessed specific to each site and will give due consideration to ground conditions, site levels, site layout and availability of sewers/drainage features in the vicinity of the site.
Foul drainage will be assessed at the earliest stage to confirm how the site can be effectively drained. At strategy stage we will cover the proposed route of the sewers, where they will discharge, discharge rates, capacity and specify the design criteria. We will liaise with the local Drainage Authority to agree the principles at planning stage.
Advance are experts in undertaking the detailed design of surface and foul water drainage networks (including SuDS) from Planning Approval through to detailed design.
